Strategic Capacity RNLA Central Maintenance Depot for Electronic Materials (ECW), Investigation into the Future Workload of ECW. (Strategische Omvang Elektronische Centrale Werkplaats (ECW) onderzoek naar de toekomstige werkiast van ECW)

Abstract

Commissioned by RNLA Central Maintenance Depot for Electronic Materials, a study has been carried out into the nature and amount of the 'strategical' capacity, the Royal Dutch Army should have at its disposal, for maintenance, support and development in the field of electronics. The existing capacity planning has been analysed. An inventory has been made of trends in the use of electronic equipment and the technology applied, as well as relevant developments in the organization of the Army. To determine the implications for the ECW, 15 technological specializations have been identified within its field of activity, so called 'technology cells'. For every cell a qualitative consideration and a quantitative estimation of future work load has been made.
