Testing and Evaluation of the i-STAT Blood Gas Analyzer

Abstract

The i-STAT, Inc., Blood Gas Analyzer is a portable hand-held unit designed to analyze and provide data on human blood. e.g., chemistries and blood gases. The unit use cartridges and a very small amount of blood to analyze various parameters in the blood depending upon the cartridge being used. The unit runs on two 9v lithium batteries and weighs 18.34 ounces, and is 2.52 in. W. X 8.26 in. L. X 2.05 in. D.
