Department of Defense Data Model, Version 1, Fy 1998, Volume 2.

Abstract

This section contains all the data maps which comprise the DoD Data Model and its Subject Areas as of the DDM cutoff. This section has a major subsection division for each Subject Area. Within each Subject Area subsection is a series of second level subsections, each containing one View data map. A View will only reside in one Subject Area. The Introduction to this document has a section which describes this View concept. Sections One and Two supply a cross reference of Entities and Views within Subject Areas. The ACCOUNTING Subject Area View involves tracking the budgeted, obligated and expensed dollars, requiring a chart of accounts that represent posted transaction accounts and their parent summary accounts to maintain the balances for DoD funds.
