JPRS publications contain information primarily from foreign newspapers, periodicals and books, but also from news agency %ransmissions and broadcasts. Materials from foreign-language sources are translated; those from English-language sources are transcribed or reprinted, with the original phrasing and other characteristics retained. This document contains articles on economic affairs in China. Topics include policy, economic development zones, economic planning, economic management, finance and banking, mineral resources, industries, domestic trade, small scale enterprises, foreign trade and investment.
