Avian Analysis of LCTA Core Plot Data: West Point Military Academy (Revised)

Abstract

The Land Condition Trend Analysis (LCTA) program is the Army's standard for land inventory and monitoring, using standard methods for natural resources data collection, analyses, and reporting designed to meet multiple goals and objectives. This report presents the results of a study done for West Point in conjunction with the Army Environmental Center's (AEC) Conservation Assistance Program (CAP). Seven years of bird data were analyzed for 34 LCTA core wildlife plots during 1991 through 1997. The information and techniques presented in this report are intended to provide land managers the ability to more effectively use the LCTA bird data being collected on their installation.
