Development of Methods of Data Preprocessing for Computer Prediction of New Materials with Predefined Properties.

Abstract

This report results from a contract tasking V. M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics, National Academy Sciences Ukraine as follows: The contractor will develop a method for discretization of quantitative data to improve computer prediction of new materials with predefined properties. Develop a software system implementing the method proposed in the above. Abstract Methods of data preprocessing for computer prediction of new materials are described. The methods result in formation of the attribute set that is used for materials description. The algorithm of transformation of quantitative attributes into nominal ones (discretization algorithm) is considered in details. It is implemented as a program which is supplied by a USER'S MANUAL.
