Analysis of CARDlab Data for Interpupillary and Vertex Distance: Notes on the Construction of an "Eye-box"

Abstract

Data was obtained from the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Computerized Anthropometric Research and Design lab (CARDLab) describing the quantitative three dimensional location of various facial landmarks. This data was compared to a set of similar measurements made in clinical optometric practice. The values obtained were analyzed for their statistical distribution. These values can be used to predict the fit of eye centered protective eyeware designs.
