Coalescing Tubes Test for Oil/Water Separators (OWSs)

Abstract

The U.S. Army major commands (MACOMS) use thousands of gravity oil/water separators (OWSs) that currently require replacement or retrofit. This report summarizes an investigation to determine the effectiveness of vertical coalescing tubes (VCTs) as a retrofit to gravity OWSs.
