West Europe Report, Science and Technology

Abstract

The purpose of the present report was to address both basic and applied research issues regarding science and technology in Western Europe with particular attention to Biotechnology, computer science and factory automation. The report will cover the important research and development programs in microelectronics. The issues of Scientific and industrial policies and technology transfer were significantly highlighted and in detail discussed. It is expected the innovative experimental research and design standards presented in the report will play an important role in the future economic growth in Western Europe.
