Standard Protocol for Real-Time Computer to Computer Data Exchange

Abstract

This document provides a standard protocol for accomplishing real time interrange exchange of processed data between range computers. The intent of this exchange is to allow monitoring and control of all phases of a test at the appropriately prepared host range mission control while using unique facilities, instrumentation, and capabilities at other test range locations for various phases of the test. Tests that transition from one range to another (e.g., space shuttle, cruise missile) could transition to this standard as a means of providing information and compatibility of formats from range to range and project to project.
