Occupational Survey Report: Airborne Battle Management Systems, AFSC 1A4X1, OSSN 2316

Abstract

The Airborne Battle Management Systems career ladder was surveyed to obtain current job and task data for use in examining training programs. Survey results are based on responses from 397 respondents. This represents 52 percent of all assigned AFSC 1A4XI personnel. Five jobs were identified in the career ladder structure analysis: (1) Air Surveillance, (2) Weapons Directors, (3) Air Operations, (4) Communications Technician, and (5) Instructors. These jobs represent over 96 percent of the personnel in the survey sample. This report also contains information concerning career ladder progression, job satisfaction, and training analysis, and implications.
