Abstract

The project is located in East Baton Rouge Parish, between the towns of Baker and Zachary, Louisiana. The twelve mile project corridor runs from the Comite river west to the junction of Cooper Bayou and Profit Island Chute. The objective of this study is to conduct historical literature and cartographic records review to determine the following: 1) the location of known cultural resource sites; 2) the location of high potential areas for cultural resources; and 3) construction of base map with location of potential and known cultural resource data.
