Laboratory Test and Evaluation of SECANT VECAS GA/M.

Abstract

The VECAS CA/M is the member of the SECANT family of collision avoidance systems, designed for larger civilian aircraft and certain military aircraft. Laboratory tests showed it provided the necessary warnings and advisories in a timely and effective manner. It performed collision avoidance as proposed and specified and flight tests would probably yield good results. The short round time and multiple trackers are a significant improvement.
