Tactical Information Exchange System (TIES)

Abstract

This task order was to provide a variety of support to the TIES project. TIES software requirements were to be identified through an analysis of the operational features of the systems. Software documentation guidelines had to he devised to track both design and software development in the context of standard military practice: (1) TIES special needs are considered; (2) high visibility is provided to TIES management on project progress; (3) the documentation plan is cost effective; and, (4) the documentation tends to reduce project risk. Guidelines for the use of structured programming techniques were to be prepared.
