Twelve Year Survey of the Susceptibility of Women to Altitude Decompression Sickness,

Abstract

In 1973 it was reported that the incidence (#cases #exposures) of decompression sickness (DCS) requiring hyperbaric therapy was significantly greater in women (0.219%) exposed in altitude chambers at the USAF School of Aero-space Medicine than in men (0.022%).
