Advanced Single Flux Quantum Devices

Abstract

The goal of the present effort is the further development of ultrafast "Rapid Single-Flux-Quantum"(RSFQ) devices and circuits based on the storage, transfer, and processing of digital bits encoded by single quanta of magnetic flux. This approach offers several key advantages over other possible digital superconductor technologies, most importantly an extremely high operation speed and extremely low power consumption.
