Future Main Battle Tank Analysis for Louisiana Maneuvers

Abstract

This report summarizes the method and documents the results of cadet designs at the United States Military Academy during Spring Term, 1993. The focus of these designs was the analysis of a futuristic system: The Future Main Battle Tank (FMBT). All the cadets declared Systems Engineering as their major area of study. Our purpose was academic: to provide the cadets with a real Army design problem which would serve as a capstone exercise, drawing on the wide base of the knowledge gained during their four year curricula.
