Threat Analyses Successor F16 Aircraft, Phase 1: Threat Inventory (Dreigingsanalyse opvolger F-16, fase 1: dreigingsinventarisatie).

Abstract

The successor of the F-16 fighter aircraft will feature strong reduced signature for hostile weapon systems by use of low Observable techniques. However, this does not mean that the aircraft will not be vulnerable anymore. There always will remain possibilities to detect the aircraft, and consequently to attack, to hit and to kill the aircraft. This report gives a overview, based on a literature survey and opinions from experts, on future threats which may endanger the survivability of the aircraft. The threats themselves are not further analysed in this report.
