Abstract

The Air Force Security Forces Center (AFSFC) was recently established at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, where it is co-located on the base with the Air Force Military Training Center, which includes the Security Forces Academy among other technical training schools. The AFSFC transferred some Air Staff functions from the Pentagon and other functions from the Air Force Office of Security Police formerly located at Kirtland AFB, NM. The center is responsible for strategic planning, policy, manpower, and budgeting for operation of all Air Force Security Forces operations worldwide.
