Added Mass and Damping Characteristics for Multiple Moored Ships

Abstract

The Ocean Engineering Program, United States Naval Academy, conducted a series of tests for single ships and nests of 2, 3, 4 and 5 ships to determine the sway added mass and damping for ships moored in shallow water. This report documents the test program and test results.
