Naval Operational Concept and Operational Maneuver from the Sea: Analysis in Operational Design.

Abstract

The Navy and Marine Corps have developed operational concepts to meet the anticipated requirements of future amphibious operations. Are these two operational concepts merely separate Service concepts, or are they capable of merging to form a single Naval Operational Concept? This paper addresses that question by analyzing the two operational concepts using selected elements of operational design.
