Military Compensation and Personnel Retention. Models and Evidence.

Abstract

This book deals with both theoretical and empirical economic literature on labor supply, and provides the Army with the basis upon which to improve the management of enlisted retention. It brings together a collection of research papers that provide quantitatively defensible formulations of the influence of military pay, bonuses, retirement benefits, and other factors on enlisted retention.
