Space, Little Round Top 2063.

Abstract

As we transition to the 21st Century the speed and lethality of the battlefield will significantly increase. The Army must leverage space based systems for targeting at the operational and tactical levels. Space based sensors linked directly to shooters will provide U.S. forces the ability to maintain full spectrum dominance through dominant maneuver and precision engagement. This paper links the future of joint operations through Joint Vision 2010, Army Vision 2010, and the United States Space Command's (USSPACECOM) Long Range Plan Implementing USSPACECOM Vision for 2020. All three of these visions move us closer to providing space based support directly to the operational and tactical commander.
