Quantum Confinement V: Nanostructures

Abstract

The symposium was organized to address recent developments in the area of nanoscale semiconducting and metallic structures with emphasis on ultrasmall clusters and their potential for device applications. Papers were presented on (1) silicon nanostructures, (2) porous silicon, (3) quantum dot structures, (4) excitons in nanostructures, (5) self ordered nanostructures and clusters, (6) quantum devices, (7) architectures, and (8) circuits.
