Psychological Factors in Maximizing Self-Control Under Stress with Special Reference to Hypnosis and Related States

Abstract

In this paper we shall attempt to discuss the potential use of hypnosis in order to maximize the individual's capacity to with-stand stress. After discussing hypnosis in this context, we shall try to discuss other relevant psychological techniques which need to be considered in evaluating the utility that hypnosis may have in this context.
