Popular Psychology: A Content Analysis of Contemporary Inspirational Nonreligious Books

Abstract

This paper attempts to determine the prevalent themes of the contemporary popular inspirational literature. It uses as a point of' departure the preliminary draft by Dr. Samuel Z. As part of his search of the self-help literature, Dr. Klausner studied ten general self-help books, as well as a large number of works oriented towards control of dietary and sexual problems.
