The Effect of Loading Parameters on Fatigue of Composite Laminates: Part 3

Abstract

The long-term mechanical fatigue of quasi-isotropic graphite/epoxy laminates was investigated to determine the influence of loading parameters on impact-induced delamination growth during constant-amplitude and spectrum fatigue loading. Based on the test results, recommendations for fatigue design of composite laminates in the presence of barely visible impact damage (BVID) are suggested.
