Year 2000 Conversion Program for Defense Critical Suppliers

Abstract

This is one in a series of reports being issued by the Inspector General, DoD, in accordance with an informal partnership with the Chief Information Officer, DoD, to monitor DoD efforts to address the year 2000 computing challenge. For a list of audit projects addressing the issue, see the year 2000 web pages on IGnet at http://www.ignet.gov. The overall audit objective was to evaluate the status of DoD progress in resolving the year 2000 computing issue for critical suppliers. This report addresses the DoD management of the identification and assessment phase of the year 2000 computing issue for critical suppliers.
