Status of Year 2000 Compliance at the Defense Commissary Agency

Abstract

This report is one in a series being issued by the Inspector General, DoD, in accordance with an informal partnership with the Chief Information Officer, DoD, to monitor DoD efforts to address the year 2000 computing challenge. The Deputy Secretary of Defense requested this audit of the Defense Commissary Agency. Our objective was to evaluate whether the Defense Commissary Agency was adequately planning for and managing year 2000 risks to avoid undue disruption to its mission. Specifically, we reviewed year 2000 risk assessments, testing, and contingency plans for Defense Commissary Agency mission critical systems and infrastructure equipment.
