Restriction Landmark Genomic Scanning Analysis of Breast Cancer for Detection of Novel Amplicons.

Abstract

We have conducted an analysis of 19 cell lines derived from human breast cancers with the goal of identifying potential novel genomic amplicons connected with the molecular pathogenesis of this disease. We employed the Restriction Landmark Genomic Scanning method for this. No evidence of novel amplicons was detected in this limited sample of specimens. Possible reasons for these results are discussed.
