Incidence of NBC Head Protections on the Efficiency of the Auditive Guards and the Helmets of Communication.

Abstract

In the event of chemical or radioactive contamination, the personnel is obliged to take on NBC head protections and must often simultaneously carry safety devices of the hair-band type to protect the auditive apparatus against the noise. The goal of the experiments described in this report was to see the influence of the port of equipment of NBC protection on the characteristics of attenuation of a passive hair-band and an active hair-band like on the transmission of the radiophonic communications. The fabrics of the three studied behaviours of protection slightly modify the sealing on the level of the joint of the hair-band and deteriorate a little the characteristics of attenuation. The transmission of the word remains satisfactory, the loss of transmission exceeding only seldom 10 clB. (Machine assisted translation)
