Guidance for Meeting Operator Certification Requirements Pursuant to the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Abstract

This guidance document was developed in response to EPA's operator certification guidelines published on February 5, 1999. Section 1419 of the 1996 SWDA Amendments required EPA to publish guidelines in the Federal Register specifying minimums standards for certification (and recertification) of the operators of community and nontransient noncommunity public water systems. The USAEC and USACHPPM partnered to develop this guide to notify installation personnel of EPA's new baseline requirements for water system operators.
