User's Guide to FYDP Viewers and DoDSPEAR

Abstract

The FYDP Viewers and DoDSPEAR models are two tools developed to make DoD analysts' jobs easier. The Viewers provides a simple to operate method of accessing Future Years Defense Program (FYDP) data, including definitions of Program Elements and Defense Mission Categories. The analytical capabilities of DoDSPEAR named for Department of Defense Selective Program Element Analysis Report enable analysts to isolate for further study those programs that are being planned or executed in an other than optimal manner.
