Government-Furnished Equipment Year 2000 Issues for Army Chemical Demilitarization.

Abstract

This is one in a series of reports being issued by the Inspector General, DoD, in accordance with an informal partnership with the Chief Information Officer, DoD, to monitor DoD efforts in addressing the year 2000 computing problem. The overall audit objective was to determine whether the Army Program Manager for Chemical Demilitarization at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland, was adequately preparing information technology systems to resolve date processing issues regarding the year 2000 computing problem. Specifically, this portion of the audit determined whether contracting actions for the construction of chemical disposal facilities at Anniston, Alabama; Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and Umatilla, Oregon, complied with the Army and DoD Management Plans.
