Results of Testing a Large Array

Abstract

This task has recently focused on the development and demonstration of an active two-dimensional optical display array. Our goal is to fabricate a large, flexible multi-pixel array on a thin polymer substrate, and incorporate sensing functionality into the material of the array. In this way, finger or stylus pressure, or light from a laser pointer, may be sensed, to allow users to selectively interact with the display. During the reporting period, we have made progress in the development of the optical display elements on flexible polymer substrate materials, and in the demonstration of piezoelectric devices on similar substrates.
