Abstract

This is the third progress report of the M.I.T. Home Automation and Healthcare Consortium-Phase Two. It covers majority of the new findings, concepts, designs, and experiments accomplished in the last six months, October 1, 1998 through March 31, 1999. The Consortium has been hosting diverse research projects of home automation and healthcare, ranging from human modeling, patient monitoring, and diagnosis to new sensors and actuators, physical aids, human-machine interface and home automation infrastructure. This report contains several patentable concepts, algorithms, and designs.
