Strategic and Critical Materials in the Defense National Stockpile

Abstract

The evaluation objective focused on management controls over the disposition of stockpiled materials. Our specific objectives were to evaluate the effectiveness of the DNSC sales contracting and disposal plans and procedures for reducing the stockpile inventory. We also reviewed the adequacy of the management control program as it applied to the evaluation objectives.
