End-To-End Interim Report, Phase 4

Abstract

The Joint Advanced Distributed Simulation (JADS) Joint Test and Evaluation (JT&E) was chartered by the Deputy Director, Test Systems Engineering, and Evaluation (Test and Evaluation), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition and Technology) in October 1994 to investigate the utility of advanced distributed simulation (ADS) technologies for support of developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) and operational test and evaluation (OT&E). The End-to-End (ETE) Test was designed to evaluate the utility of ADS to support command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) testing using the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS) as the system under test. This report describes Phase 4 of the ETE Test, which proved the ability to test the ETE C4ISR environment with a live E-8C aircraft while mixing live and virtual entities.
