Development of Boundary Layer Control Techniques Efficient for Flows Under Body Forces.

Abstract

This report results from a contract tasking R&DCFM, National Academy of Sciences as follows: The contractor will perform research which should support design of a new type of surface arrangement aimed to induce and maintain streamwise vortices to satisfy in a best way the requirements of optimal flow control (delay of separation/laminar-turbulent transition or enhancement of heat transfer) and at the same time to be technologically realizable and operationally convenient.
