Direct Vendor Delivery and Just-In-Time Inventory Management Initiatives

Abstract

The objective of the audit was to determine whether Defense organizations computed savings from direct vendor delivery and just-in-time inventory management initiatives in accordance with the DoD Materiel Management Regulation. We also reviewed the reasonableness of the methodology used in the calculation of estimated cost savings.
