Evaluation Report of Defense Hotline Allegations on Improper Sale and Disposal of DOD Pallets

Abstract

The evaluation was conducted in response to allegations made to the Defense Hotline. Specifically, it was alleged that several Defense installations in the southeastern United States (Jacksonville Naval Air Station, Florida; Mayport Naval Station, Florida; Kings Bay Naval Base, Georgia; and Fort Stewart, Georgia) were not recycling pallets through Defense Reutilization and Marketing Offices; inappropriately selling excess pallets; and improperly distributing cash proceeds to Morale, Welfare and Recreation accounts.
