Capitalization of Software Developed for the Distribution Standard System

Abstract

The primary audit objective was to determine the reliability of information presented in the property, plant, and equipment accounts of the FY 1996 Defense Business Operations Fund financial statements. We also determined whether software developed by the Defense Logistics Agency for the Distribution Standard System was capitalized and incorporated into the property, plant, and equipment accounts as required by DoD 7000.14-R.
