Fabrication, Characterization and Application of High Temperature Superconducting Mercury-Based Cuprate Thin Films

Abstract

The major experimental achievements obtained during the project period are summarized in the following session. Existing problems and possible solutions are also discussed. Details associated to each specific subject can be found in 5 US patent disclosures (2 awarded. 1 transferred to industry. and 2 pending) and 37 papers (31 published/accepted and 6 submitted) and among them 35 are referred journal articles and 2 are conference proceedings). Objectives were: Fabrication of Epitaxial Hg-based HTS thin films; Characterization of physical properties of the film; Application in microelectronics.
