Engine Monitoring Systems For Jet Aircraft Engines

Abstract

The objectives were to evaluate the effectiveness of DoD systems being developed and systems being used to monitor the conditions of jet aircraft engines, including the ability of the monitoring systems to provide accurate and reliable engine performance data about the condition of the engines, and the cost-effectiveness of the systems. We also evaluated the overall management of the systems. In addition, we evaluated management controls applicable to the audit objectives.
