Fiscal Year 1995 DOD Superfund Financial Transactions.

Abstract

This audit was performed to comply with the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986. The Act requires an annual audit of Superfund financial transactions. The Environmental Protection Agency manages the Superfund, a trust fund established by Congress to respond to emergency hazardous conditions and to fund the cleanup of hazardous waste substances. The Army Corps of Engineers manages the design and construction of Federal cleanup sites paid for by the Environmental Protection Agency with money from the Superfund.
