Payments to the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Services

Abstract

The primary audit objective was to determine the validity of payments made by OCHAMPUS to civilian providers for outpatient services rendered to active duty dependents, retirees and their dependents, and survivors of deceased members of the uniformed services. The scope of audit was limited to payments to providers within catchment areas for military treatment facilities in the CHAMPUS southeastern region. We also reviewed the management control program as it applied to the primary audit objective.
