Functional and Physical Configuration Audits of the Air Force Rapid Execution and Combat Targeting Program

Abstract

The primary audit objective was to evaluate the adequacy of the functional and physical configuration audit process for the acquisition of the REACT console. We evaluated whether functional and physical configuration audits verified and documented that configuration items agree with their configuration identifications and were complete, accurate, and satisfied program requirements. We also evaluated the management control program as it related to our audit objective. The REACT Program is one program reviewed in our ongoing audit of management of functional and physical configuration audits of Defense systems.
