Summary Report on Audits of Contracted Advisory and Assistance Services

Abstract

United States Code, title 31, section 1114(b) required Inspectors General to evaluate their departments' progress in establishing effective management controls for contracted advisory and assistance services, and in improving the accuracy and completeness of data provided to the Federal Procurement Data System. (The Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of November 1994 rescinded the requirement.) This report summarizes the results of audits that 25 Inspectors General conducted from FY 1992 through FY 1995 on contracted advisory and assistance services.
