Debt Collection and Deposit Controls in the Department of Defense

Abstract

Our objective was to evaluate the DoD debt collection process, including management controls over collections, deposits, and incentives to optimize collection rates. We also evaluated compliance with laws and regulations and the DoD management control program as it related to our audit objective.
