Neurobiologically Inspired Approaches to Nonlinear Process Control and Modeling

Abstract

Over the course of this project, our efforts have been focused on four distinct activities: (1) the design of locally intelligent actuators (control valve), (2) the development of a neuromodulatory control model of the heart, (3) development of a decentralized state estimation scheme for large scale problems, and (4) formulation of large scale fault estimation problems using mixed integer programming. These items are highlighted in the body of this document.
